Participate in the Research
Help build the future of tabletop roleplaying.
The Artificers Institute exists to help founders and creators make better decisions through better research—and that starts with the people willing to share what they know.
Players, game masters, publishers, designers, creators, and those who have never played are essential to this mission. Your experiences, frustrations, ideas, and stories help surface the insights we need to expand the hobby for everyone.
We do not sell personal information or use visitor data for advertising resale purposes.
How you can participate
Participants are essential in our research projects. During the study design phase of the project, participants may be invited to help with one or more of the following:
- Surveys and questionnaires
- One-on-one interviews
- Small focus groups
- Concept and product feedback sessions
- Occasional research panels
Participation is voluntary, with opportunities differing in length and commitment.
Why it matters
Good research depends on thoughtful participation. Sharing your perspective strengthens the evidence that leads to sharper products and a healthier tabletop ecosystem.
About compensation
At this early stage, participation is volunteer-based. As the Institute grows and receives support, our goal is to compensate participants whenever possible, especially for longer-form research engagements, and in specific ways that are valuable to each segment of participants.
